Description

VenusPlusX™ is devoted to ushering in “The New Age of Sexual Freedom” –
a world free from the global culture of racial, sexual, and gender oppression
and violence
perpetrated by governments, religions,
corporations, and social customs.

VenusPlusX’s educational and advocacy campaigns and involvement in grassroots activism draw inspiration from the figure of Columbia—a transgender icon deeply embedded in the American psyche as the Statue of Freedom atop the U.S. Capitol dome, the Statue of Liberty, and the venerable Uncle Sam.

Venus Plus X is also the title of a science fiction book about a post-gender future, and became the apt web address for this work (excerpt here).

Founded in 2010, VenusPlusX is a privately funded, not-for-profit, grant-making organization led by its two founders, Dan Massey until his recent death and Alison Gardner, and informed by a half-dozen associates and a larger roster of sexual freedom advisors and advocates throughout the U.S. and abroad. In April 2014, the website was reorganized to better support the themes and campaigns VenusPlusX has become dedicated to over recent years; a similar redesign effort is taking place at its sister Spanish-language site, VenusMasX.org.

VenusPlusX promotes a single, simple ideal: universal sexual freedom, starting with the supreme, elemental, and entirely natural love-sexuality-spiritualy connection, and carried forth in everyone’s individual and shared bodily certainty of what freedom feels like and how it is inextricably imbedded in our pursuit of happiness, prosperity, health, and glo bal peace, even joyful immortality.
