I am immortal. And so are you if you choose to be.

It is through salvation that we come to understand and experience personal immortality.

Our pastfathers believed and taught that salvation occurred as an escape from mortal death.

Today we understand that true salvation is escape from personal inner fear and uncertainty.

Salvation occurs when we act in accordance with our highest and deepest understanding of our role in an event.

We have done the best that we could do, and we hope to learn how to not repeat our errors.

Our soul expands in an upwelling of emotional confirmation, as we understand that we have made the right choice.

Through this repeated experience we gain inner peace and confidence, increasingly placing our trust in the guidance of our super-consciousness, our higher mind function.

We increasingly learn to turn over the more complex moral judgments we are called to make to our super-consciousness.

In time our personality becomes more active in the super-consciousness, where we are increasingly aware of the directions of Truth.

As our center of choice becomes accustomed to the resources and power of the super-consciousness, our sense of identity increasingly shifts into this higher level.

And with our identity settled in our super-consciousness, yet still intimately associated with our mortal avatar, we begin to understand how we exist.

We come to understand and foresee that our personal existence can continue forever, as long as we are provided an avatar by the cosmic government to act on behalf of our personality.

For in the animation of our soul as the directing mind of our new avatar, our super-conscious identity is enabled again to interact with literal realities, that is, restored to life.

This is not remarkable. This is the way the universe works.

We are born to mature and develop increased awareness of the super-conscious, to build a soul.

And that soul is the essence of who we were as mortals—what good we attempted, what beauty we produced—the actual record of the power in our lives of embraced Truth, of the satisfaction of Love.

And as we continue to exist and experience and choose Truth as post mortals, our soul continues to grow as a record of our personal experiences.

Nothing is more essential to the upward transfer of identity consciousness than for the lower consciousness to trust and learn from the higher.

We learn this trust by experiencing the reality of joyful, cooperative engagement between the lower and higher mind, while the fundamental union is affirmed in shared joy.

Worshipful embrace of the erotic provides each of us with direct, personal affirmation of the joyful power that penetrates our being to the most basic level and results in salvation—the progressive transfer of self identity to the super-consciousness.

The process of salvation does not make us immortal—our immortality is a part of the natural path of experiential maturation throughout the universe.

The process of salvation increases our consciousness of our own potential immortality.

The individual levels of spiritual maturity recorded in our souls are carried onward intact, so that the positive aspects of personal growth are never lost and continue to accrue throughout our eternal adventure.

We all face vast distances to travel in preparing and perfecting ourselves for an unknown eternal destiny.

At every level we will find prepared for our experience a literal, physical mode for expression of interpersonal love, of worship of the inner power of spiritual joy.

News of Note: Afghan woman slain for giving birth to daughter

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan — An Afghan man killed his wife for giving birth to a third daughter rather than the son he’d hoped for, police said Monday.

The 28-year-old victim, who was known by the one name of Storai, was strangled by her husband — a local militia member — and his mother on Saturday, authorities said.

Storai had given birth to the couple’s third daughter three months ago in Mohasili village in Afghanistan’s northern Kunduz province.

Police said they arrested the victim’s mother-in-law in connection with her death, but Storai’s husband was still at large, likely sheltered by heavily-armed militia colleagues.

“The existence of militiamen is a huge problem and therefore we face difficulty in arresting him,” Kunduz police chief Sufi Habib said.

Nadera Geya, head of the Kunduz women’s affairs department, called the killing one of the worst examples of violence against women she had encountered.

Acid attack
Violence against women is common in Afghanistan. In late November in the same province, an Afghan family that refused to give their daughter in marriage to a man they considered irresponsible was attacked at home by assailants who poured acid over both parents and three children.

This kind of male-dominated society can be seen all over the world. Even with the onset of technology like abortions, male children are often preferred in counties like China, India, Pakistan, Korea, and Taiwan, leading to a significant number of missing females from the population. Not to mention burqas and female genital mutilation; we still have long way to go. How do you think society’s portrayal of gender affects sexuality? Iran’s supreme court has upheld the death

sentence for a web programmer who faces imminent execution after being found guilty of developing and promoting porn websites.

Saeed Malekpour was picked up by plainclothes officers in October 2008 and taken to Evin prison in Tehran, where he spent a year in solitary confinement without access to lawyers and without charge.

A year after his arrest, the 35-year-old appeared in a state television programme confessing to a series of crimes in connection with a porn website. On the basis of his TV confessions, he was convicted of designing and moderating adult materials online by a court in Tehran, which handed down death penalty.

Malekpour later retracted his confessions in a letter sent from prison, in which he said they had been made under duress.

According to Malekpour’s family, he is a permanent resident of Canada and is a programmer who wrote photo-uploading software that was used by a porn website without his knowledge.

Giving someone the death penalty is a big deal. Giving someone the death penalty for being related to a pornographic website is absurd. The fact that Saeed simply wrote image-uploading software and was not running or participating with actual pornography makes this incident absolutely insane.

También en español In The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams proposed that the human quest for survival could be characterized in three stages:

  1. How shall we eat?
  2. What shall we eat?
  3. Where shall we have dinner?

Thus humanity has ascended Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In reality, however, there is one great need that transcends all the others—solving the mystery of deciding what to do at each occasion of choice in a human lifetime.

Human life is filled with dynamic selection of the values that contribute to choosing a specific course of action.

This is the one area of life in which what each person does directly affects what that person becomes.

Each person desires to achieve certain benefits for themselves, such as safety, peace, justice, freedom, etc.

Often enough, there will be conflicts between different possible results, with varying outcomes for different individuals and areas of personal development.

How can one make a good final choice? Where is relief from unending uncertainty?

For this purpose, humans seek salvation. Salvation is deliverance from personal uncertainty.

Our pastfathers (our so very limited so-called forefathers) thought of salvation as some form of deliverance from mortal death, from the breakdown of the biological avatar, the human body. Thus they failed to recognize the actual reality of their own potential salvation.

Salvation is not some grand thing that happens at death. Salvation is a daily experience of living that makes the individual increasingly conscious of their personal existence beyond the limits of the body.

Salvation is, in fact, the certainty of right action. Salvation is an understanding, a concurrence between the higher super-consciousness and the biological consciousness.

This super-consciousness is both self-aware and possessed of a vastly broader perspective than the brain alone.

It exists beyond the limits of the brain, with access to all relevant Truth.

When a person turns over the evaluation of a situation or a need to the super-conscious, the resulting inspiration guides one to the best realizable solutions.

When the biological mind accepts the insights offered by the super-consciousness, we experience deliverance from uncertainty—salvation. And this strengthens our ability to accept further insights.

With each such experience we become more acutely aware of the process by which conflict is resolved.

To avail ourselves of salvation we commit our biological will to integration with the will guidance available through our super-consciousness.

We commit ourselves to following the guidance of Truth in all that we do.

In time, as we reflect on options, an ideal path that expresses the values of Love, Truth, Goodness, and Beauty will emerge, though it may be other than our prejudices might have anticipated.

We now act on our best insight, but only when we can feel that insight has matured, stabilized, and met all the tests of rightness.

Whatever the outcome, we will have done our best to do the best we could—and that is what really matters.

This allows peaceful and satisfied sleep.

Knowing this, and having experienced it on other occasions, one comes to have confidence in the reality of salvation.

Now is the time for humanity to recognize that salvation is at hand, that nothing but fear stands between a person and personal realization of salvation.

The most fundamental of all human fears to be overcome is erotophobia—the fear of the erotic, of physical expression of the power of Love, that denies one the enjoyment of Love.

Erotophobia precludes us from unifying sensual and spiritual experiences of Love.

Once we know and accept the erotic as the physical/sensory foundation of personal maturation, we will finally begin genuinely to love and serve our fellow humans.

Care About Privacy? You May Be a Terrorist

News of Note: Justice Dept, FBI Say Interest in Online Privacy an ‘Indicator’ of Terrorism

A new flyer released by the Department of Justice and the FBI, emblazoned with the logos of each agency and being circulated to Internet cafes and other businesses, warns of “potential indicators of terrorist activities.”

In particular, the flyer cautions businesses to be on the lookout for “content of extreme/radical nature” as well as people who visit an Internet cafe even though there is evidence they have Internet access at home. It also urges people to watch for anyone using “anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address,” or who seems “overly concerned about privacy.”

With an endless stream of bills coming forth that would criminalize what we know of today as the internet, here comes the FBI with a warning that use of anonymizers and other shielding tools are signs of terrorism. The internet is under attack and now they’re calling any form of defense terrorism, isn’t this tactic frighteningly obvious?

I hope no one has forgotten about the National Defense Authorization Act that allows for the indefinite detention of US citizens who are suspected of terrorism.

What’s more, the flyer urges people to be suspicious of those who “always pay cash” and to “identify license plates, vehicle description, names used, languages spoken, ethnicity, etc.”

This goes to show how absolutely subjective and malleable the definition of terrorism has become. Do you prefer to pay with cash? Maybe you’d prefer your online activity remain anonymous? I would call that playing it smart. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

Sweden’s “Forcible sterilization” and Creating Change

Sweden: Transgender actress mourns her “forcible sterilization” – “Many countries typically seen as progressive on LGBT rights continue to mandate the practice.”

“’Forcible sterilization’ has been quietly practiced for decades in countries typically cast as progressive on LGBT rights: France, the Netherlands, Australia and a number of U.S. states still require it. Italy and Germany have just recently overturned similar legislation.”

Having just returned from Creating Change (3000 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender activists and allies, annually), I found this coverage of actress Aleksa Lundberg, a well-known Swedish transwoman, particularly ridiculous.

Although Swedish actress Aleksa Lundberg made her complete transition in her late teens, before her career, her birth gender just entered the public’s consciousness 4 years ago when she started telling her story to the press and on stage to take a stand against efforts to block the repeal of this heinous law.

Transwomen in Sweden cannot obtain their desired gender documentation (the completion and certification of their transition in the governments eyes) unless they undergo a full surgical removal of all male sex organs, while being prohibited from pre-freezing sperm for future use. These forced surgeries are a clear violation of human rights, something 50 Swedish transwomen, in a population of only 9 million, needlessly suffer every year.

This practice unfortunately harkens back to Sweden’s questionable medical research experiments on humans that didn’t officially end until the early 70s, as pointed out by Par Wiktorsson, president of the organizing committee for this year’s Stockholm Pride Festival.

“. . . the current law is reminiscent of eugenics programs that Swedish academics and doctors began to pursue in the 1930s and actually continued to practice until 1976.

“Supporters of the law don’t want the sterilization referred to as ‘forcible,’ but they didn’t want to call it that in the past either,” he says. “But . . . the state has always stood behind this demand with the threat of [withholding medical] treatment. It is shameful that we have forcible sterilization in the year 2011.”.

“Forcible sterilization” has been a practice for a century in America, notably in the southern states. Women and men, trans or not, are rightly seeking compensation as highlighted recently in North Carolina, where an intrusive state government shattered life aspirations of 1000s who were forced to undergo this despicable practice, by force and/or without informed consent. In the 60s, just being an unmarried teen mother was justification for sterilization.

‘They cut me open like I was a hog,” testified Eliane Riddick, who was sterilized by  North Carolina at age 14 under the premise that she was promiscuous and didn’t get along with others. “I couldn’t get along well with others because I was hungry. I was cold. I was a victim of rape.”

This is a practice that is disturbing especially to human rights defenders in this 21st century. I know that centuries ago, people didn’t have many choices in regard to rights and the governments were left largely unchecked. England exiled its own citizens, those deemed undesirable by the state, to primitive and barren lands 1000s of miles away. This business of creating a perfect world in places through erasure has been going on for a long time but civilization cannot stop banning practices like forced sterilization and others forms of disenfranchisement or it will stay in this modern dark ages.

“It infuriates me that a group of people think they have a right to tell another group of people what they can and cannot do,” Lundberg says.

As a human rights activist, I say, They don’t!”

It’s high time every lover of liberty and equality is coming together to denounce such heinous acts and continue to CREATE CHANGE.

Online, and soon in big-box stores, you can buy a device no bigger than a cigarette pack, attach it to a car without the driv

er’s knowledge and watch the vehicle’s travels — and stops — at home on your laptop.

Tens of thousands of Americans are already doing just that, with little oversight, for purposes as seemingly benign as tracking an elderly parent with dementia or a risky teenage driver, or as legally and ethically charged as spying on a spouse or an employee — or for outright criminal stalking.

The advent of Global Positioning System tracking devices has been a boon to law enforcement, making it easier and safer, for example, for agents to link drug dealers to kingpins.

Last Monday, in a decision seen as a first step toward setting boundaries for law enforcement, the Supreme Court held that under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution, placing a GPS tracker on a vehicle is a search. Police departments around the country say they will be more likely to seek judicial approval before using the devices, if they were not already doing so.

Still, sales of GPS trackers to employers and individuals, for a multitude of largely unregulated uses, are growing fast, raising new questions about privacy and a legal system that has not kept pace with technology.

We previously covered how police were attaching GPS tracking devices to cars without a warrant; thankfully they are no longer allowed to do that. It is still hard to consider this a victory, as GPS use by civilians rises, and loss of privacy remains an issue. Nothing is stopping someone (police or not) from placing a device on a car; it’s unlikely that you would know and even more unlikely that the person would ever be caught.

GPS technology is forcing us to rethink privacy. Unless someone invents an easy way to detect these devices, they will likely become commonplace in our society. Technology continues to grant us access to information, including the ability to spy on one another. How do you think our society will adjust to this new norm?

También en español The cornerstone of a new faith has been laid—a new vision of human individual and social destiny comprising the emergence of a unity expressing harmonious divergence among its members.

The foundation of this faith is the worship of Love in all its forms and expressions.

What do we mean by worshiping Love?

We begin by setting aside all preconceptions of what may or may not be acceptable forms of personal spiritual expression.

For example, we may worship the expression of Love in the experience and response of a sex partner.

Or, if alone, we may worship that power which converts simple, repetitive self-stimulation into an explosion of erotic joy in glorious orgasm.

And what do we worship?

We worship the inner “live wire” of the experience, the power that provides the essential climax that lifts consciousness of the event far above mundane everyday senses.

When we rightly worship this powerful penetration of our human consciousness by the dildo of Love, we then re-align our own system of personal choice and behavior closer to a pattern of Love.

And this pattern of Love sends a signal that resonates within our own self to affirm the direction of our personal shifts in consciousness.

Though we do not sense it at the time, the cumulative effect of these small advances of our personal expression in the direction of Love reinforces the power of Truth to direct our growth.

We do not exclusively worship erotic experience.

We worship all expressions of Love that we are capable of comprehending.

But we will always revert to the erotic senses as the simplest, most direct, solid foundation of our personal relationship to Love and Truth.

As we progress in understanding of Truth, we act in accordance with our advancing understanding of the manifold expressions of Love.

And each accomplished action reinforces our understanding of and commitment to the living guidance of Truth.

This experience is what is meant by “Living the Truth.” Or “Living your Truth.”

It has nothing to do with what you believe to be true about yourself and the world around you and everything to do with how you participate in and contribute to the world around you.

In the final analysis, Love is the desire to do good to others.

Truth is the gift of Love, and by living Truth we are able to do Good and create the harmonies of Beauty, satisfying the desires of Love.

Through manifold acts of sharing and cooperation, we will come to universal understanding of shared love with our fellow beings.

Individuals are seedling personalities, unaware of the great destiny which awaits each of us as fully developed beings.

We continually create and learn from this form of “super-consciousness,” a consciousness of self operating one level higher than conscious mind, to control our actions in our own, uniquely personal way.

From the chrysalis of flesh, our consciousness is freed to advance to our individual supreme and final destinies beyond mortality.

We begin to see our future in a near eternity of universe experience as maturing immortals, finally able to command the supreme powers of creation ourselves.

The time has come for humanity to cast aside its fears of demons and its lust for gods, accepting and rejoicing in the reality that the lowest rung on the ladder of personal spiritual growth, the one true “stairway to heaven” is open and accessible to all who will accept the full gift of Love.

Join me today and forever in the worship of the power of erotic joy.

Chocolate’s Child Slaves

News of Note: Chocolate’s Child Slaves

Everyone loves chocolate. But for thousands of people, chocolate is the reason for their enslavement.

The chocolate bar you snack on likely starts at a plant in a West African cocoa plantation, and often the people who harvest it are children. Many are slaves to a system that produces something almost all of us consume and enjoy.

The CNN Freedom Project sent correspondent David McKenzie into the heart of the Ivory Coast – the world’s largest cocoa producer – to investigate what’s happening to children working in the fields.

His work has resulted in a shocking, eye-opening documentary showing that despite all the promises the global chocolate industry made a decade ago, much of the trade remains unchanged. There are still child slaves harvesting cocoa, even though some have never even tasted chocolate and some don’t even know what the word “chocolate” means.

Slavery still exists in our modern world. It is easy for most people in developed countries to live oblivious lives without ever hearing of these atrocities going on across the world. We all know that slavery is not okay; it is the fundamental denial of ones humanity. At the very least, we can be educated consumers that do not fuel these inhumane practices.

Jurors: Researching online? Go to jail!

An English court has sentenced a juror to six months in prison for contempt of court after she performed research on the Internet and forced the abandonment of a criminal trial.

Psychology lecturer Theodora Dallas, 34, was a member of the jury in the trial of Barry Medlock, accused of causing grievous bodily harm. She looked up certain information related to the trial on the Internet, came across information concerning Medlock, and told her fellow jurors what she had found. One of them informed the judge, causing the judge to abandon the trial. Medlock was later retried and found guilty.

In order for a jury to be unbiased they must be ignorant? The entire nature of a jury is rooted in subjectivity. But how is a decision less biased when the jurors only have access to information concerning their specific case? I believe access to information is a human right. Because any juror could do outside research without telling anyone, help expand their own perspective, and easily get away with it, how much longer will this rule enforcing ignorance be  justified or realistic? It isn’t a far stretch to say that our legal system has a few holes; this might be a good place to start making some improvements.
